This electric green Halloween punch is the centerpiece of any spooky party. Made with simple ingredients like lemonade, pineapple juice, and lime soda, it’s quick to make, kid-friendly, and features creepy gummy worm ice cubes that make it a magical experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups lemonade
  • 2 cups pineapple juice (unsweetened)
  • 2 cups lime soda (like Sprite or 7UP)
  • 1 cup lime juice (freshly squeezed preferred)
  • 1/2 cup simple syrup (homemade or store-bought)
  • 12 teaspoons green food coloring (gel preferred)
  • 1 cup frozen green grapes
  • 1/2 cup gummy worms (for garnish)
  • Optional: Dry ice (for smoking effect, handle with caution)

Instructions

  1. Make the gummy worm ice cubes at least 4 hours before serving: Place one gummy worm in each compartment of an ice cube tray. Fill with water or lemonade. Freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Prepare the base 5 minutes before serving: In a punch bowl or pitcher, combine 4 cups lemonade, 2 cups pineapple juice, and 1 cup lime juice. Stir gently with a wooden spoon.
  3. Add 1/2 cup simple syrup and stir again. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as desired.
  4. Create the green color: In a small bowl, combine 1 teaspoon green food coloring with 2 tablespoons of the punch base. Stir until dissolved, then pour into the punch bowl and stir well. Add more food coloring a few drops at a time until desired color is reached.
  5. Right before serving, slowly pour in 2 cups lime soda. Stir gently to incorporate bubbles without losing carbonation.
  6. Add frozen green grapes and gummy worm ice cubes. They will float and bob around.
  7. If using dry ice, add it now using tongs. Place small chunks in a separate container inside the punch bowl. Ladle punch into clear plastic cups, ensuring each serving gets a gummy worm ice cube and a few frozen grapes.

Notes

For best results, chill all liquid ingredients for at least 2 hours before mixing. Don’t add soda until ready to serve to maintain fizz. The punch is best within 2 hours of mixing. For a black light glow, use tonic water instead of lime soda. For an adult version, add 1 cup of white rum, vodka, or coconut rum. The base (without soda) can be made up to 24 hours ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
